Welcome to Pouring Flowers.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Pouring Flowers began with a very simple love for beautiful things.
Not the flashy, over-the-top kind of beautiful. The kind that makes you slow down for a moment. Fresh flowers arranged in an old glass vase. Linen napkins folded for an ordinary Tuesday lunch.
A soft cashmere throw draped over a reading chair. Morning light pouring across a marble countertop while tea steeps in your favorite cup.
I have always believed that luxury is not really about spending more. It is about creating a life that feels beautiful, comforting, intentional, and deeply personal.

For me, that story started years ago.
I still remember one rainy afternoon when I was wandering through a small antique market while traveling. I found an old crystal champagne coupe tucked away on the bottom shelf of a tiny stall.
It was slightly imperfect, a little worn around the edges, and completely beautiful. I bought it, brought it home, and used it that same week for a simple dessert at my dining table.
Nothing else about the evening was extravagant. There were candles, soft music, flowers from the grocery store, and a homemade dessert served in that one vintage glass.
Yet somehow, the entire evening felt magical.
That was the moment I realized something I have never forgotten. You do not need a perfect house, a huge budget, or a special occasion to create a beautiful life. You simply need to notice the little details.
And that is exactly what Pouring Flowers is about.
How Pouring Flowers Began
Pouring Flowers began with my love for beautiful homes and thoughtful details.
Long before I created this site, I was already the person constantly rearranging a room, studying floor plans, saving photographs of elegant interiors, and noticing why one space felt inviting while another did not.
While I am a professional graphic designer by career, I run multiple design agencies. My love for interiors began during my university years, where I studied architecture-related subjects and became fascinated by the way design shapes how we live.
I loved learning about proportion, light, texture, balance, and the small details that can completely transform the feeling of a room.
After university, I spent years working with interior design companies, helping create spaces that felt both beautiful and functional.
Over the last 15 years, I have worked alongside designers and their clients, helping them choose everything from paint colors and furniture layouts to finishes, styling, decor, and the final details that make a house feel like home.

That experience taught me something important. A beautiful home is never just about following trends.
It is about creating a space that feels like you.
I created Pouring Flowers because I wanted a place to share everything I have learned through those years.
How I Create Content on This Blog
I don’t do anything special, everything you see here is a solution to my daily life challenges, wants and needs.
How I come up with ideas
I do a lot of research whether it’s online or from books borrowed from the library. I apply them to my own home. At the same time, clients have tons of questions, and the help they need give me all the ideas you see here.
How I research
Research is not just reading, what I do before working on anything, I sketch things out. The first thing is always pencil to paper. Then I read up on the topic voraciously. This gives me as much understanding as I can over any topic.
Then, I apply what I learned from what I’ve found and put that to the test. A lot of times what I want don’t turn out right, similar to why clients look for me.
That’s when I try again and come up with the right designs, flavors and textures. I don’t publish something I haven’t tried or thoroughly researched.
Here is where I combine my design background, my love for interiors, and my eye as a graphic designer to help make beautiful living feel more approachable.
You will find inspiration and practical advice for:

A Little More About Me
When I am not designing for clients or writing for this blog, I’m doing things that inspire me creatively.
My other most favorite thing in the world is to be near the water.
Windsurfing is a sport that I picked up in 2020. The feeling of being on the water, with no land visible and only sky above my head, it clears up any mental cobwebs so completely.
We are a family of nature lovers. One of our happiest days together might simply involve a long walk, an afternoon on the beach with sandwiches and hot chocolate in mugs. My kids can spend hours playing sand.

I also like playing with clay. It is so soothing to sit at a pottery wheel or form clay out of nothing. The process I adore is turning the simple things into something beautiful yet useful.
Clay has taught me a lot about design. Handmade things with texture, the intrinsic beauty of pottery that may never be perfect or polished to shine as marble.
Wherever I go, whether it is traveling, hanging out with my family in nature, windsurfing or playing with clay, I am gathering inspiration all the time.
All of these experiences eventually come back here, home and garden decor, tables, recipes, and even the icing for cakes.
